Made by Jarvis B. Prentiss (1804-1844) of Greenfield, Massachusetts in 1835, this ornate baby carriage was built for his infant daughter, Eliza.

This high-wheel bicycle, called an "ordinary," with one very large front wheel and a smaller rear wheel, was an improvement over the unicycle which had only a single wheel.
