Letter from Connecticut Valley Street Railway Company regarding Trolley whistle
After 8 years of running, there have been complaints about the whistles on the trolley cars being an "aggravation to mankind." This letter tries to correct the bothersome problem by ordering new, more expensive, whistles for all the 5 cars on the line. Note the speediness of the reply as well as the speed of the mail delivery; the complaint was received on May 29, 1908, and this reply was written the next day, May 30, 1908.
